Four founders
Registered the company on 30 June 2018 in Rajasthan with a bootstrap-first mandate: build a distribution-ready technology platform without external capital.

Three co-founders + first investor
One founder amicably exited in 2021. In February 2025 the remaining three co-founders welcomed the company's first institutional investor to the cap table.
A Letter from the Founder

Every setback shaped the platform we ship today.

My entrepreneurial journey began in 2016, while I was working a full-time job. I came from a humble rural family. We did not own a permanent house and lived in a traditional mud house.

I had no investors, no technology team, and no business background. But I had one dream — to solve real financial problems faced by ordinary Indians.

Instead of waiting for the right opportunity, I chose to learn while earning. Every evening after work and every weekend, I studied banking, fintech, digital marketing, technology, product development, and entrepreneurship.

Along the way I made mistakes — in governance, in funding, in partnerships, in the sequencing of expansion vs. product. Each one taught me something no MBA could.

Loan4Bank is the platform I always wanted to build — one that protects people after they take a loan, not just before.

— Founder, Loan4Bank

A dream born in a mud house
The founder — from a humble rural family, still living in a traditional mud house — begins studying banking, fintech, digital marketing, product and entrepreneurship after work and on weekends. No investors, no tech team, no business background. Only one dream: solve real financial problems for ordinary Indians.

2019
The first major setback
Returned to a full-time job to keep the company alive, funding development from salary. Restarted the marketplace — loan processing, bank & NBFC coordination, back-office, support and SEO. Within 19 days the site ranked among top Google results for targeted keywords. Shortly after, brand-name concerns similar to an established marketplace led to painful loss of the original domain. Hard-won lessons on IP, governance and strategic decision-making.

Starting again — through the pandemic
Most of the original founding team moved on. Responsibility rested largely on the founder. COVID-19 halted almost every plan. Development slowed, but the vision stayed alive.

2021
Expansion before product maturity
A fresh ~₹30 lakh investment opened new opportunities. Expanded into ERB First Finance Private Limited, invested heavily in branch expansion, hiring, offline operations and business development. In hindsight — expanded faster than the product itself was ready. Too much capital went into operations before the technology platform was strong. A difficult but invaluable lesson.
2022 – 2023
2022 – 2023
The cost of building
Continued full-time work while personally leading product R&D. In 2023, resigned from the job to build the company full-time. Without sufficient banking integrations or large partnerships, and with ongoing R&D spend, financial pressure mounted. Personal commitments toward product and operations crossed ₹1 crore. Years that tested resilience more than technical skills.

The lowest point — and a friend who believed
A crucial investment plan did not materialize. Financial pressure intensified; creditors demanded repayment; the company was under severe stress. One close friend backed the vision — financially and emotionally — with a single line that changed everything: "Build the company you always wanted to build."
